Principal

Mrs. Carol Hovell-Genth is serving in her third year as principal at St. James. She earned a Bachelor Degree in English from CU Boulder, a Master of Arts Degree in Education with an emphasis in school administration, from Chapman University at Orange, California, and completed a year of graduate work in theology at Augustine Institute in Denver. She served as an English teacher in both middle and high school for seventeen years. Her last three years of teaching were at Bishop Machebeuf High School, also serving as AP Coordinator and English Department Chair.

Mrs. Ashley McDonnell is one of the Pre-K teachers. Ashley graduated magna cum laude at Colorado State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. She holds a Colorado Teaching License in Early Childhood Education. Ashley has five years of early childhood education experience, most recently at St. Mary’s Preschool in Littleton.
