Mrs. Carol Hovell-Genth - Principal |
Mrs. Carol Hovell-Genth is serving in her fourth year as principal at St. James. She earned a Bachelor Degree in English from CU Boulder, a Master of Arts Degree in Education with an emphasis in school administration, from Chapman University at Orange, California, and completed a year of graduate work in theology at Augustine Institute in Denver. She served as an English teacher in both middle and high school for seventeen years. Her last three years of teaching were at Bishop Machebeuf High School, also serving as AP Coordinator and English Department Chair. |

Mrs. Eileen Michalczyk - Grade 2 |
Mrs. Eileen Michalczyk is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, IL. She has been teaching for eight years in first and second grade. Besides being the second grade teacher, she is also the coordinator of gifted education for our school. Previously she has been a director of RCIA and coordinator of Baptismal preparation. She has three children attending St. James and one child at Bishop Machebeuf High School. |

Mrs. Tammy Durnford - Grade 3 |
Mrs. Tammy Durnford is the 3rd Grade teacher. Mrs. Durnford earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from CU Denver, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, graduating cum laude from University of Northern Colorado, and an Associates of Applied Science in Business Administration from Arapahoe Community College. She holds a State of Colorado Elementary K-6 Teaching License. Mrs. Durnsford comes to St. James from the corporate world, most recently as manager of client relations for a major firm in Denver. She has served in a multitude of leadership positions including co- chair on the Board of Trustees for Seeds of Hope. Mrs. Durnsford has four plus years of experience teaching in the 2nd and 3rd Grades |

Mrs. Deanne Martinez - Grade 4 |
Mrs. Deanne Martinez is the 4th Grade teacher. Mrs. Martinez has her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Linfield College, Oregon and is close to completing a Master of Arts Degree in Education from University of Northern Colorado. She holds a Colorado Teachers License. She and her husband are committed to their Catholic faith and all four of their children attend Catholic schools. They are active members of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Littleton |

Ms. Rebecca Statz - Grade 5 & Art |
Ms. Rebecca Statz is the 5th Grade teacher and the Art teacher for grades 3-8. She is a graduate of University of Wisconsin, River Falls, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and minored in General Science with an emphasis in Geology and Art. She has two years of teaching experience in Estes Park, CO where she has served as the middle school math paraprofessional and special education paraprofessional. She currently holds a Colorado Teaching License for Elementary Education and a Wisconsin Teaching License for Regular Education K-8 and Science. |

Mrs. Sharon Tracy - Grade 5-8, Social Studies, & Grade 8 English |
Mrs. Sharon Tracy teaches 5-8 Social Studies and 8th grade English. She graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Philosophy from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She received her MA in History from Roosevelt University, and taught lectures as a Teacher's Assistant for an introductory history class. Mrs. Tracy has presented articles at two academic conferences, in addition to receiving a grant for study on women's experiences in the dust bowl. She and her husband love to hike. |

Mr. John Paul Sullivan - Language Arts & Science Grades 6-8 |
Mr. John Paul Sullivan is the Middle School Language Arts and Science Teacher. He earned both his Master of Arts in Education and his Bachelor of Arts in English at University of Dayton in Ohio. He currently holds an Ohio State Teachers License and Colorado Teachers License. He has taught in the inner city of Cleveland, Ohio in a Catholic school for the past three years. Prior to teaching he traveled and worked as a river guide in Alaska. His wife Sara is a teacher at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic School in Denver |

Mrs. Sabrina Kirkwood is serving her second year teaching at St. James. She graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2010, where she earned a Bachelor's of Music Education with a vocal emphasis. She holds a Colorado State license for music grades K-12. She served as a cantor and choir section leader for four years at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Denver, and now is involved with music ministry here at St. James as a children's choir director. She has been happily married for three years to her wonderful husband Josh. |
