St. James Parish places such importance on family. The Sunday nursery ministry has been a great example of this for the past 3 years, and has brought a greater sense of community to the parish. While it can be challenging for families with young children to attend mass, parents can bring children ages 1 to 5 to the 10 am mass nursery. Children have an opportunity to meet and play while coloring and learning about the readings in mass that week, and parents get to focus on the Eucharist and quiet prayer.
