4 PILLARS

The parishes of Blessed Sacrament, Good Shepherd, St. James, and Christ the King have come together to form a New Youth Ministry.

The name 4 PILLARS represent:

  • the 4 parishes- Blessed Sacrament, Good Shepherd, St. James and Christ the King
  • the 4 parts of the Catechism- Creed, Sacraments, Christian Living, and Prayer
  • the 4 Gospels- Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

4 PILLARS will be sponsoring events, retreats, Bible Studies, socials, and youth group for High School youth and their families.

Lenten Road Trip: Pure by Choice: A Catholic Youth Rally March 3rd at the Denver Convention Center. Speakers include Patrick Coffin radio host for Catholic Answers Live. He is the author of the book "Sex Au Naturel: What it is and Why is it good for Marriage." Jason and Crystalina Evert, two of the best Chastity speakers in the country, Denver's own Chris Stefanick, and the popular praise and worship Matt Miller Band. For all High School youth and a limited size 8th grade group. Details and sign up begin on January 18th. Space is limited.

High School Youth Group: Meetings held in the youth room at Christ the King from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Enter on Elm street side of the building.

World Youth Day: WYD Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 2013 with the Holy Father, Pope Benedict information meeting to be held for parents in January at St James Parish. Watch for day and time in an upcoming bulletin announcement.

Steubenville Conference: Sign ups are going on now for this July Conference. There will be 2,000 teens in attendance and the event will fill by January 23rd. So get your form in now.

4 Pillars 7th and 8th grade Youth Group: Begins January 19th from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Blessed Sacrament Parish. The middle school youth group will be preparing for the one day Lenten Retreat in February, our Laser Quest Battle Night, Bible Study, and Girls Night out.
