The St. James Community

“Christian faith, in fact, is born and grows inside a community." (The Catholic School, 1977)

Volunteer opportunities abound at St. James! There are so many ways to get involved.St. James is a place where everyone is expected to contribute mentally, physically, and spiritually; where everyone learns by teaching and grows through giving.

Parents and neighbors vounteer side by side, fixing lunch for St. James students. The St. James Community is more than the students and teachers at the school. The St. James Community embraces every individual who walks through the door: parishioners, parents, friends, and neighbors. There are so many ways to get involved.

Parents are expected to volunteer 40 hours for two parent families and 20 hours for single parent families. Volunteers are a valued and an important part of the St. James experience!

Community volunteers work in: the Library, Lunch Room, Classrooms, Office, etc. Just about anywhere you find students, you will find committed and caring volunteers!

Parents are teachers too at St. James! St. James students visit with elderly community members, sharing memories and stories. Parents and students share time together learning more than just the basics! Foosball brings people together.

There's something special about St. James!
