WELCOME!!
We’re
very happy that you are interested in learning more about our youth group
here at St. James! The St. James Youth Group (The Junior Pilgrims of John
Paul II) offers teens in grades 6-12 an opportunity to gather with their
peers, experience the love of Jesus Christ and grow in the Catholic faith
through prayer and worship, community service, recreation, retreats and
fun!!
We meet in the
upper room of St. James Catholic School, (enter through the double doors
under the St. James sign in the Oneida St. parking lot) on
Saturday
evenings from 5:15PM-7:00PM. Please see our monthly calendar for
exact meeting dates. Our youth room is complete with an eating area,
collection of Catholic books and videos, pool table, foosball and ping pong
tables, a 55” television, and a lounge area-all geared to offer comfort and
hospitality with sacred art that enhances the Christian atmosphere.

The focus of our program for this year is learning more about the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. We cover each sacrament over a period of 1-1½ months depending on other activities we have scheduled. The meeting structure varies each week with a mixture of small and large group activities, guest speakers and movies! Every meeting we include icebreakers, a snack or light meal and of course time for games in the gym or outside! We also participate in Archdiocesan youth events such as the Pure by Choice Rally and Water world!!
Bring your friends!! We look forward to meeting you!!!
