Religious Education

Parents are the first and primary educators of their children. It is from them that they learn about love and forgiveness. Parent involvement is crucial in the preparation of a child in the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. We ask that parents to make a commitment to see to it that their child:

  • attends Holy Mass regularly on the weekends , and Holy Days
  • attends religious education classes regularly help teach your child his/her prayers
  • promise to continue to see to the religious education of your child through classes at the church, at home and /or at a Catholic School.

Capture2We are taking registrations for the St. James 2016/2017 Religious Education Classes which will begin in late August.

Come to the parish office to register and bring a copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate (we can make a copy for you) and the cost is $30.00 per child each year of class.

Our generation will show that it can rise to the promise found in each young person when we know how to give them space. This means that we have to create the material and spiritual conditions for their full development; to give them a solid basis on which to build their lives; to guarantee their safety and their education to be everything they can be..”
